Recognizing Exemplary Compassionate Care
The Clarel Antoine Humanism Award

Graduating Chief Residents who Demonstrated
Outstanding Compassionate Care * Clinical Excellence * Professionalism * Teamwork

In order to recognize and advocate for compassionate care in the medical field, the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at NYU Langone Health annually selects one or more residents to receive the Clarel Antoine Humanism Award, one of the two highest distinctions awarded upon graduation. The award is presented to the graduating chief resident who stands out among his or her peers as an exemplar of humanism in medicine. This resident is a model of outstanding patient-centered care, empathy, professionalism and support for his or her colleagues.
