Compassion Awareness Research Education
Rx Compassion is guided by the CARE Model, a patient-centered framework built on Compassion, Awareness/Advocacy, Research, and Education to improve cesarean safety and maternal outcomes.
Compassion
Compassion is our core. It means taking women seriously and recognizing both physical and emotional healing as essential parts of recovery. Many women experience pain symptoms or emotional distress that are dismissed or normalized. Compassion requires listening, believing and responding with care that addresses the whole person.

Compassion also means preventing harm before it occurs. Women deserve healthy pregnancies and safer births. Prevention begins before the first cesarean operation through informed care thoughtful decision making and the use of the safest techniques available.
Awareness
Awareness and Advocay begins with truth and transparency. Too often women are not fully informed about the potential long-term consequences of cesarean birth or that different surgical methods exist. Many are unaware that how a cesarean is performed can directly impact healing recovery and future pregnancies.

Rx Compassion advocates for informed consent that includes clear discussion of risks options and surgical technique. We work to ensure both mothers and providers understand that cesarean safety is not only about when surgery is performed but how it is performed. Advocacy means empowering women with knowledge and advancing standards of care that prioritize long term maternal health.
Research
Research drives prevention. Rx Compassion supports and advances research focused on safer surgical techniques including the Endometrium Free Closure Technique (EFCT). This technique restores the uterus with precision, so the endometrial lining is protected during closure.
Like a skilled plastic surgeon whose work leaves minimal lines, scars, or defects, EFCT emphasizes meticulous tissue alignment. The goal is a uterus that heals smoothly, without niches or weak points, creating a strong, healthy lining capable of supporting future pregnancies and reducing complications throughout a woman’s life.
Education
Education turns research into action. Rx Compassion is committed to expanding physician training so safer techniques become standard practice not the exception. We also educate women and families so they understand risks options and recovery and can participate fully in informed care decisions.
Dr. Clarel Antoine and Rx Compassion has already trained more than 200 physicians worldwide in EFCT. Training more doctors is essential to reducing preventable complications and improving maternal outcomes worldwide.

CARE in Action
By leading with compassion, prevention becomes possible. Awareness grows. Evidence-based surgical techniques, like improved uterine closure methods, are embraced. Families heal. Providers are better equipped. Outcomes improve.
Compassion is not passive. It is action.
It is the first step toward safer births and healthier futures.
