About the event

Registration required

Join Dr. Clarel Antoine, MD, FACOG, board certified obstetrician and gynecologist, Clinical Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and former Director of Maternal Fetal Medicine, as he presents decades of peer reviewed research on cesarean uterine closure and long term maternal outcomes, including the Endometrium Free Closure Technique (EFCT). His most recent findings on EFCT were published in the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology (AJOG).

This educational webinar will review the data, explain the surgical approach, and include a video demonstration of the technique. Dr. Antoine will discuss how attention to tissue approximation at the time of cesarean can influence future reproductive health and complication risk, including risks associated with abnormal placentation.

Dr. Antoine is an internationally recognized researcher and lecturer on maternal surgical outcomes and the developer and clinical advocate of the Endometrium Free Closure Technique. His work has focused on prevention, surgical precision, and improving long term outcomes for women following cesarean delivery.

This webinar is intended for medical professionals involved in maternal care and research, including obstetricians, maternal fetal medicine specialists, OB anesthesiologists, residents and fellows, nursing and surgical teams, researchers, and healthcare professionals engaged in quality and patient safety.
